About These Studies

Thank you for your interest in helping advance medical knowledge through participation in medical research. We are currently enrolling for two studies, each evaluating an investigational drug to see how well they may help lower triglyceride levels.

Before new medications can be approved for public use, they must be tested in research studies like these. If you or a loved one might satisfy the requirements, please read on to learn more about participating in one of these studies. If you have high triglyceride levels, your immediate family members (for example, parents or siblings) may also have high triglycerides levels. To share this page with them, please send them this link: www.htgstudies.com

What to Expect

  • The study staff will contact those who are interested in participating in a research study.
  • If the study staff feels the potential participant may qualify to participate, they will schedule an office visit.
  • At this office visit, the study staff will provide an overview of the applicable study and ask some general health questions. After this initial session, if the potential participant wishes to proceed and the study staff continues to believe that they may qualify to participate, then the staff will give the potential participant a written Informed Consent Form (ICF). The ICF will have a detailed explanation of the applicable study and its potential risks and benefits. The ICF will also have information about the study visit schedule and other requirements that study participants must follow.
  • The study staff will review the information in the ICF with potential participants and answer any questions about the study or the information in the ICF that the potential participants may have.
  • The potential participant must read and sign the ICF confirming they understand what will happen in the study and their responsibilities.
  • Only after the ICF has been signed, the study clinician and staff will review medical history and conduct tests to determine whether the potential participant satisfies all study entry requirements.

All study-related medical examinations and study treatments are provided to qualified participants at no cost.
